ICT Information for Visitors

WI-FI

Stephen Hawking School provides restricted 'guest' WI-FI access for visitors at both Brunton Place and St Jude's Road. Please ask for credentials at Reception.

Please note that it is the responsibility of visitors to take the necessary configuration steps to access the 'guest' WI-FI on their device. For visitors with Windows devices, it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer to access the Internet via the 'guest' WI-FI.

ICT Facilities for Visiting Speakers

86" iiyama ProLite Interactive Touchscreens are available in the main halls of both Brunton Place and St Jude's Road. The meeting rooms and parent/carer rooms at both sites are equipped with 65" iiyama ProLite Interactive Touchscreens.

For ease of use, visiting speakers are advised to bring their presentation on an unencrypted USB flash drive (encrypted devices are not supported on these screens) and to locally embed any sound or video.

Visiting speakers who wish to use their own laptop can connect to the screens via HDMI or VGA. Cables can be provided if a request is made in advance. Apple iPhones and iPads can be connected if required. Lightning/30 pin to HDMI/VGA converters can be provided if a request is made in advance (please specify the converter required).

Access to any specific webpage or social media is subject to the school's eSafety policy and firewall restrictions and cannot be guaranteed. Visiting speakers are advised to locally embed any sound or video required.
